Children’s Health Coverage

We encourage families from different income levels to contact us, including families that may have private insurance but are unable to get coverage for children. A Certified Application Assistor (CAA) will advise them of their options based on eligibility requirements for different health coverage programs. A CAA will also help with the application process.

Programs for Uninsured Children

Children who do not qualify for Medi-Cal, undocumented children, and families with middle income can apply.

Healthy Kids

Healthy Kids provides comprehensive health insurance for children and teens who do not qualify for Medi-Cal, for an affordable CoveredCA plan, nor for affordable dependent coverage through their parent’s/guardian’s employer. Undocumented children and teens can apply for Healthy Kids.

Services from a licensed medical professional received during office visits, and home visits, for medically necessary reasons related to treatment and diagnosis of a medical condition are covered.
